PRP - GRP Applications

PRP application has been used for many years in many branches of medicine, especially orthopedics, sports medicine, plastic surgery, dental diseases and veterinary medicine. PRP application for aesthetic purposes has been safely applied by physicians all over the world for 15 years and in Turkey for 10 years. When platelets separated from the person's blood are applied under the skin or to the scalp with fine needles, they will act as if there was damage in that area, and will play a healing role in the application area by secreting growth factors and healing factors in the area.

When PRP application is applied to the skin, it will provide healing with the "damage healing mechanism" in the area where wrinkles and collapses occur due to the loss of some tissues under the skin over time. In skin sagging that occurs due to decrease and breakage in the amount of collagen in the skin support tissue over time, the collagen will be restructured with the growth factors secreted by the platelets applied to the area; Skin elasticity will increase and skin sagging will be corrected. If PRP application is performed to eliminate a specific problem, 2-3 sessions are generally applied at 3-4 week intervals. After the sessions, visible improvements in the identified problems are expected. The effects of PRP application will last for a long time. In order to maintain the effects and prevent the deformation of the skin over time, 1 session of PRP application per year is recommended.

GRP APPLICATION

GRP treatment is performed using approximately 10 cc of blood taken from your arm by the physician. This blood taken is rotated in a centrifuge device at high speed (2000 rpm) for 9-10 minutes. At the end, the plasma part rich in blood cells called platelets and growth factors called Growth Factors is obtained. Then, a stimulator (activator) is added and centrifuged again at a higher speed (4000 rpm). This plasma is injected into the needed skin areas through very fine-tipped needles. Thus, the increase in collagen and elastin, which are the main structures that make up our skin, is triggered in the most natural way.

What are the situations that may develop after PRP/GRP applications?

Since PRP/GRP applications are a type of needle applications, minor bruising may occur at some points. These bruises are small and heal within a few days without the need for treatment. Situations such as redness, bleeding, bruising, infection, burning and itching may occur in the application area. However, these conditions usually resolve spontaneously within 2-4 days. Since the patient's own blood is used in PRP/GRP applications, there is no allergic reaction. For those who want to keep bruising and swelling to a minimum, it is recommended to apply ice intermittently on the first day and avoid strenuous physical activities until the next morning. At least 3 days before the injection; Ginkgo alkaloids, blood thinners, high doses of vitamin E, green tea, aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (rheumatic) drugs should not be used.
